First Day of Class

I thought the first day of class was very interesting and enjoyable.  We learned the Hawaiian word “Pono,” meaning balance, or doing the right thing.  We also watched a video on Ted.com which showed us that “if children have an interest, education happens.”  I thought the video was very interesting because it shows that children are eager to learn even in different countries when given the chance.  It was remarkable seeing these kids enthusiasm in searching for information on Google and actually learning even though it was in a different language.  After the video, the students in our class were all given a number and a blindfold to cover our eyes and in the dark we had to get into a line and try to order ourselves from 1 to 26 without talking about what number you had.  Unfortunately, we weren’t able to really do it without talking, but we did finally figure it out.  I found that to be the most enjoyable part of the class because it gave us the opportunity to interact with our fellow classmates even though you weren’t able to see them.  I can already see this will be quite an interesting and fun class.
